Near the bottom edge of the car, there is a groove in the body that runs around the entire car and holds a pinstripe decal.  When the car is painted, or more commonly, just the front fascia is painted, the stripe needs to be replaced.

eBay stripe on L, OEM  stripe on R

Unfortunately, I haven't compared these pinstripes on my  car yet, just in vitro. To touch, the adhesive on the back of the Nissan OEM pinstripe feels a little stronger, but the eBay glue seems strong enough for what it needs to do.

The Nissan stripe felt marginally thicker but it came with backing AND a removable clear coat strip on the color side of the stripe. The eBay pinstripe came out of the box in better condition, more supple, no crimps, no plastic clear coat on the color side, seemed newer.

They look 99% identical. The lighting accounts for any differences that might appear in the pic. I am willing to bet that not even a show car judge would be able to tell the difference on the car. The pic does show that the Nissan stripe seems a little "poochier" whereas the eBay stripe is as flat as a pancake. To my way of thinking, flatter is better.

The part number for the Nissan pinstrip for my FRONT FASCIA was 99032-30P85. Nissan lists the part as "ACCENT-STRIPE."  I can't remember what I paid other than it was ridiculously high. Even my parts guy who is all into OEM told me, "just buy pinstripe from a body shop next time."

The eBay guy (Russell) sends out a mile of pinstripe in a ziplock bag for a fraction of the cost. Do a search on eBay for *goldenstatestripes.* He's selling stripes for Ferraris and Saleens with 99.9% positive feedback.

Cleaning off old stripe is best done with a nylon scraper tool, and then some charcoal lighter fluid will get the residue.
